MY STORY
I am a compassionate mental health advocate on behalf of people living with mental health illness. I am committed to my work and understand the importance of goal setting and not losing sight of what is achievable.
Much of who I am and what I do is related to Walkabout Warriors Art. This business represents and combines my three main passions in life: Fitness, Mentoring and Aboriginal art I’ve been building Walkabout Warriors since 2017.

ART
As a proud man of Aboriginal heritage from the “Kamilaroi” tribe, my paintings tell stories based on my journey through life. I developed my skills as an artist through the community and through social media.
WALKABOUT WARRIORS
WHERE IT ALL STARTED

What began as a way of selling my paintings, Walkabout Warriors, quickly evolved into my drive and my mission through my own battle with depression, past trauma.
Painting custom canvases, footy boots my prints began to appear on sporting apparel such as rugby league jerseys, touch football uniforms, rugby balls, banners as well as swimwear.
All with the collaboration and support of well-respected companies such as Struddys sporting apparel, Budgy Smugglers also the NRL Indigenous referees jerseys 2019/2020.
In 2017, Walkabout Warriors formed two touch football teams to compete in the US National championships in San Diego. We played all the major cities of the USA and successfully came out winners in both men’s and women’s divisions. Walkabout warriors returned the following year in 2018 with a mixed and a men’s team.
One of the inspirations behind forming these teams was to help and guide those who were feeling lost and also suffering from mental health illnesses. I wanted to give our teams a sense of belonging and show each and every one of them what we can accomplish. Our individual strengths and our journey together is what made us the winners.
Since retiring after 29 years playing rugby I’m now coaching/training individuals through my Personal Training business, I have developed as a mentor for the youth in the community. I believe we are all students of life and I will continue to learn and share my knowledge with people who need guidance to realise their own true potential.
